i was unable to find any relevant information on assembling a load for my 308 using
this bullet. i shoot a 168grn a-max out of a 18inch barrel at 2600fps, but i would prefer
something heavier with a higher BC. any load data about this?

Select the 308 win here and start 5% lower than the minimum loads listed for the 200gr bullets. You will probably get 2300fps or so with max loads... not ideal for long range, but you will have good numbers in wind drift.

I would actually recomend going with 155gr Berger VLD bullets to get best long range ballisitcs with the 308 win. I may do this for a future rifle for F-class FTR competition.

To bad you do not have a little more barrel. If you could get to 2450 fps with that 208gr AMAX you would have a very viable hard hitting load.
Have you thought about rebarreling?
