2009 Huntin Season

Wanted to start a new topic of the 2009 huntin season stories, progress and etc.
Anyone kill anything yet?
Well i haven't, My mom shot at a buck opening morning but she missed, she dun got the fever lol! And had to stare at it for about 5 mins to see if it was a buck, had the scope turned down to 3 power and was shooting at about 125 yards...
My dad and I hunted all weekend and so far haven't seen a darn thing. Still alot of leaves on. But this is the first year we've had some good rain a few days before opening weekend, last few years have been horrible, sounded like you were trudging through a mix of pop cans and snap-its!
Good luck to all!

Season not open up here yet but I've been out scouting almost every day. Lots of does and small bucks. Haven't seen anything big even on my game cameras.

Got a nice 4pt late this year. After many attempts to shoot one at 1000yards. There were always tons of tracks, but nothing on the hoof while I was there. Succomb to taking one at about 80 yards through some tight trees. Oh well, take the blessings where you can! Nothing beats having it wrapped and in the freezer! Deer steaks tonight boys! Mhmm, sure was good. :{)
