First a little background and since I do have tendency to get a little wordy you can skip down a few paragraphs to "Sean" if you're not into book reading.
My family lives in Spokane (GEG) Valley. I currently live in TN. My long range plan (read 4 years) is to relocate and retire either in Spokane Valley, Post Falls or perhaps just a little north of Coeur d'Alene. It can't be far or my wife will divorce me and I didn't stay married all these years just to lose my retirement over something silly. "Sides I do love her.

I really enjoy LRS. As such when I visit GEG I always get out and do some shooting. I've heard of a club or two, like The Spokane Gun Club that appears to be west of Division, and this old fella that has his own property about 15 min south of Spokane Valley off Highway 27. He's set up to a little over 1000 yds in a valley with a beautiful tree lined mountain about a 1.5 miles away. I think the guy leases out a piece of land for SASS shooters and the same SASS town also gets used on weekends by some PPC group. Anyway, the Long Range area is set up for like 50 yds, 110 yards, somewhere around 200 yds then 480 and on out to 1100-1200 or so. I think you can put up your own targets out to 110 yds then its all steel out to max distance. Its not bad. You pay $5 a day to shoot and he runs a somewhat relaxed line except his almost conintual holding shooting every 3 minutes to let someone go put up another target. It's difficult to run a string of twenty rounds. That being the case I'd kind of like to look at an Organized Club.
I did take a peak at that Spokane Gun Club but other than matches their max distance appears to be 200 yds. Shooting a 6mm, .308 or even an old 30-06 at those distances and the wind barely had time to affect the shoot and give you proper practice. They have a nice website and appear to have been around for a long time but they didn't even list their annual dues on the site. Hmmmm....
Sean, I've read you're from the Athol area. True? I've also seen your Videos of LRS and read where you shot a F-Class Match last year (2009). Where was that? ID or WA? It appears fom your videos you are shooting on BLM land? Are you also a member of a Club in and around Coeur d'Alene? My Sister just sold some land up in Sand Point (before the crash) so I'm somewhat familiar with the area.
I'm looking for a Club that has a range out to 600 yd although farther is much better. I'd like 300 yds to at least check loads against groups, etc.
Any help on local Clubs would be greatly appreciated!
