Got it done... it's chambered in 260 rem with a Benchmark barrel. Vertical dispersion at 1075yds is about as good as I can hold! This rifle has exceded my expectations in every way... I will be shooting some long range matches with it this year.

Daaang! Looks purdy good there Lucas, looks like the stock would hold you instead of you holding it...I'm gonna have to get my self in gear and get my project done! And also, i wish i had somewhere to shoot like that! Round here its to damn tight everywhere! Bugs me...

Oh and how do you like that cheek rest? I'm thinkin bout gettin one.

I like to avoid adding cheek rests if possible, but if I can't get a good cheek weld I use one. The custom scope base put the scope up fairly high so it was a necessarry evil. I really didn't want to drill holes through this stock! I really like the built-in cheek peices like on my buddies Tikka 595 Master Sporter.

I had the same problem
To see correctly through the scope I had to hold my head complete off the stock so that wasn't going to do.  Nice looking rifle by the way

Just shot the Nagant at a match with a bunch of Northwest long range shooters. It was a great time.... this match was basically a practice match for everyone hitting the bigger matches like the Findlay Cup and WCT long range steel, Oregon Sniper etc. The targets were all steel from 230 to 1250yds with some UKD "reticle ranging" targets mixed in. Conditions were very tough for the cartridge (found myself missing my 7wsm) overall the rifle performed extremely well (placed 2nd, tied with another finnish rifle, the Sako TRG  Grin). Biggest plus.... got my dope for 1250 now! Also got some good pics.... enjoy!

Once you figure out who in your area is doing these types of competitions keep in contact by any means necessarry. I'd ask arround at the local ranges and you should be able to find guys who are into the long range practical shooting matches. Unfortunately some areas in the country will have very little (if any) of this going on. It's as much fun as you can have with a rifle!

Hmm...ok, i'll check around. There's so many yuppie's around here, against guns and no offense to the Californian's...but we've got alot of big city influence here in the gorge, it really irritates me! And i've checked around here and there's nothing. But i may be wrong, there could be some club doing that east of the gorge i haven't ventured over that way.

How could i get into some matches up your way Lucas? Do i need to get into a club up there? Or is it possible living that far away?

If you're talking about the Gorge in Washington State... you're in luck! Just keep tabs at www.westcoasttactical.com all the local matches will be posted there from tactical to F-class etc. Sorry I didn't know where you were from. If you're not from Washington just let me know where you're from and I'll try to hook you up with the right people.

Here's a link where the results of the match are shown about 7/8 of the way down by "Bigwheels".

I look forward to seeing you at a match... quite a few are held out your way. I'll try to remember you're from WA and give you a heads up for the next one I sign up for.
