I've yet to order powder online/mail, for just the same reason. For now there's a few Local Shops that stock reloding supplies (I'm luckier than some). I have had to order in primers and I was not happy about it!

Have any of you been able to get in any Fed 215s
I have not been able to get any for about a year now and I can not get a good load using the CCI 250s.

I've never used them Sean...my best ShortMag load was using CCI 250's! Sub 1/2 moa @ 100.
so i'd never checked for them...Have you used the "Remind" me thing on midway? It'll send you an e-mail when there in stock, thats how i've been gettin my primers...
Oh and for the Short Mag fellers on here, BR-2 primers don't work! it goes click-------shhhhhhhh--------boom! kinda scary!
I've had good luck with Remington and Winchester regular primers though.

Ya I have, they sent me a email twice and as soon as I got the email I went to order them and they were out of stock. Angry Angry
I can get the CCI to work but they are very barrel temp sensitive for me.  If I shoot 3 shots inside a minute the third shot will stray about 1.5 moa.  If I wait 3-5 minutes between shots I have no problem.

They didn't perform as will as the 215's in the 338 Lapua, so it's hard to say. I would give them a try though.

Got my primers! Remington 9 1/2 magnums. We'll see how they do with 55gr of Reloader 15 pushing 110gr V-Max's...out of my short mag. Its not a long range load by any means but it'll blow up some p-dogs in june!!! And 1/2 moa will help too if them primers will do it...

Hey Lucas, what powder-primer-case did you have luck with in your 7mm shortmag?
I'm gonna replace the barrel of my 270 after june, the throat has done gone bye-bye after 900 rounds, and i'm thinking of goin to the 7mm.

I used Remington 9 1/2 Magnums in the 7wsm with H4350, Winchester Brass, and Berger 168vlds and JLK 168's.

I got some win brass for my 270 and its not very good i think, on my 3rd firing out of 25 cases, 6 necks split on me and i haven't weighed them but certain loads will have two holes touching and a flyer of up too an inch away, i weighed my powder, same primer, seating depth is same. I guess i need to weigh and sort brass. I never had any problems with Rem brass, and also that winchester brass had big vertical lines in the shoulder when i got it that looked like it almost went clear through. Not sure if i got a bad batch or what...

Sounds like a bad batch of brass. I always used Winchester for my 7wsm, and I use Remington for my 260. Overall so far, I'd have to say Winchester is slightly better. I'm getting good accuracy with either though. Some of the flasholes are so far off on the Remington they're not reloadable! One thing I like about the Remington is they always give you more than what it says on the bag.... kind of like a bakers' dozen.
