OK, we had the Lone Ranger, now the Long Rangers. Got it.  Sniper
Here is the problem with shooting Big Foot, or Sasqwach or whatever he is called.
If you dropped him somewhere in Washington state, you'd most likely get shot yourself from PETA because you shot & killed the world's most valuable fur coat.
If the Feds could successfully protect you from the PETA whackos, you'd rot in a Fed prison for shooting an endangered species. I mean, think about it. He/She/IT is so extremely rare there aren't any specimens in any museum.
Either way - you're a goner!

Safest call? Shoot him and drag him over the border to arizona. They still let ya shoot & kill stuff for free. Well, except for illegals, but that is another post.  Cool Sniper

:Smiley  LOL, he is not protected because of the State FG regulations...it is because he carries cases of fresh Kokane under his arms and delivers them over any terrain to distant locations! You guys are probably not old enough to remember those commercials! LOL  Tongue

Yes, I got to see those pics, you guys did a great job. If Benchmark gets some more machines running I may look at working there part time (after work and on the weekends). It would be cool to make my own barrels (literally) and also lean the gunsmithing with a lathe. I'm sure I'd get tired of painting sooner than later. I used to paint pictures on canvas, but I don't any more, it becomes a chore before you know it. Here's a couple of my paintings....

Lucas,
In all seriousness, there is not a one of us that wish when we were young we would have chosen to do what we love verus what we had to do to get by. If you get a chance to go to mill-rite / machinist school do it, then build your personal reputation as a riflesmith. I was surfing Craigslist list the other day looking at the price of a lathe and a mill. You could be setup for $10k with a pretty nice machine. There are multiple guys here in the Puget Sound area like Ron & Jerry. Bret Evans down in Bonney Lk is the first one that comes to mind.
I could have used my Vietnam Era GI Bill for gunsmithing school, instead I took the easy route and went into engineering. I wish I had gone to machinist school.
Think about it, you are young enough that this is possible.
Keep dreaming my friend.

You're right Don, if I get a legitimate chance I think I'll probably take it. I'd really love to learn from Rick Beginski who's rifles have set over 40 world records. I enjoy just talking with the guy at matches/gun shops! That'll keep me dreaming for a while  Grin.

I do "Logger" i live in the biggest hotspot in the nation for bigfoot sightings...Skamania County lol! And myself and two other people have seen him. Take it as it is, believe it or not but i swear i've seen him. Back in the sixtes a family from the same area i grew up in (Within 2 miles) was having 5 or 6 chickens gettin loose some how, no trace of a coon or anything, but the door would be open, at least once a week. So this went on for a while and so the man sat out side on his porch one night, to see if he could see what the heck was gettin his chickens. He said he was woken up by the dog barking and the chicks squallin, shined is flashlight at the coop and saw a huge black animal with 3 chickens in it's hand and was just as scared as he...so he then proceded to unload his 12 gauge shot gun loaded with birdshot into the thing, only 3 shots. But he never had anything go on after that he said. And were we saw the critter was only a mile from this guys house. Around that country, is crazy. There's dissapearing lakes, puddles of water that look like a normal puddle but you can't find the bottom of it with a 20 foot piece of fiberglass rod. The trees grow sideways for 4-5 feet then straightin up. Its weird in that area...i stay away from it as much as possible.
