Here's my 338 Lapua Ackley Improved built by Nathan Dagley of SSG Gunsmithing.



Shoots the 300 SMK really well.

3 shot group at 510 yards.



3 shot group on my steel target at 525 yards

My hunting buddy built one when the the 300 RUM first came out. I was impressed with the cartridge and it's performance then. It has the same case capacity as the 338 Lapua so the ballistic is the same. I'm waiting for Berger to iron out some of the kinks on the the design of their 300 grain. From what I heard, people are not happy with the accuracy of the bullet downrange. So far, I'm satisfied with the performance of both the 250 and the 300 SMK in my rifle.

Ya I guess they made the nose to soft and it deforms down the barrel on the fast shooting guns
From what I heard anyway and I guess the BC is a bit lower then they thought originally
