Currently reading this article from the Constitution Party website about what gun owners are currently up against. One writer appropriately used the phrase “perfect storm” to describe what American gun owners face at this moment in history. All the elemental societal and political forces seem to have conjoined to form an immense “low pressure” zone of impending anti-gun legislation. The goal: Confiscation.

The Democrats have been scheming things up for a long time just waiting for their moment. Now that this moment has arrived, they are going to get all they can out of it and milk this train for all its worth! This presidential term will change everything that we hold dear. May I also repeat.......................A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed................

It will happen and we will see it here. We the people have been lulled to sleep. If you talk to anyone on the street, they can not tell you what the Ten Commandments are, But they can name ten types of beer! They can not tell you who their Representatives are,.... who their Senators are,... or who their Congressmen are, But they can tell you every worthless stat about every Pro Ball Player! If we get involved Gents, it starts with us, our families, then at the local level. Get involved, Be vocal, know the issues and VOTE! :{)

The Constitution Party website is a great place for certain pieces of information. Be aware that they are flagged by Big Brother, so remember that your ISP is logged everytime YOU visit there. Regarding the scheming liberals (whether Dem, Lib, or REP), they will have to wait for some specific results, but their onslaught will begin immediately. The Supreme Court's ruling last session in "DC vs. Heller", where the high court struck down the 32-year old DC ban on hang guns, was done so by a deeply divided 5-4 ruling. What we all hailed initially as a grand victory for gun rights under the Constitution's 2nd Amendment we may soon see that that is not the case. Instead of bringing to an END, it only now opens the door for increased litigation by infinitely-financed governmental municipalities. Note carefully the statements of Justice Scalia when he wrote about the 2nd Amendment and the views of its framers, concluding that "they guarantee the individual right to possess and carry weapons in case of confrontation." [italics mine]. Justice Scalia wrote, in leading the majority opioin, that the right he was announcing, as with other constitutional rights, "is not unlimited." The ruling should not "cast doubt," he added, on restrictions such as barring possession of firearms by felons or the mentally ill or forbidding carrying arms near schools or in government buildings. He also indicated that the use of certain types of weapons could be restricted without violating the Second Amendment! HERE IS THE PROBLEM: the majority Justices did not define a standard of review for judging which restrictions are or are not constitutional, and it did not specifically rule that the Second Amendment applies to the states -- a step that the Court has taken in the past to ensure that other parts of the Bill of Rights limit state as well as federal restrictions on individuals.
The minority Justices, led by Justice John Paul Stevens, clashed with Scalia over the meaning of United States v. Miller, the 1939 decision that briefly discussed the Second Amendment. To Justice Stevens, that decision defined the Second Amendment as pertaining to militia gun use.
These 3 key aspects of DC vs Heller will give ample "wiggle room" for further bans, limitations and restrictions upon the 2nd Amendment. Note the following official statement from the president of teh Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence: "Our fight to enact sensible gun laws will be undiminished. While we disagree with the Supreme Court's ruling, which strips the citizens of the District of Columbia of a law they strongly support, the decision clearly suggests that other gun laws are entirely consistent with the Constitution."
Lastly, don't overlook that the high court ruled ONLY in relation to a HANDGUN ban, which leaves litigation pending regarding rifle, assault rifle, et al still on the chopping board.

Unfortunately I have spent many years interpretting and enforcing laws, I have to agree. On a side note, Most people could not handle knowing or would refuse to believe what our government can already do when it comes to monitoring people.
