These scary bills are currently on the house floor. These two pieces of legislation seek to ban the majority of tactical rifles that we currently enjoy using. Both of these are substantially more restrictive than the 1994 ban, aka the Clinton Gun Ban.

We must do everything in our power to prevent another 10 years of hell, and worse.

What I really do not understand with our current government is that this ban will not deter the majority of crime in America.  There have been very few unique cases where "assault weapons" were actually used.  Most crimes are dealt with by using handguns because they are so easily concealed.

We as law abiding citizens are the ones that are going to be stripped of the rights to bear arms and the ability to defend ourselves, our families and property.  Criminials do not care about laws, they will find a way around them everytime.  So in the end only the ones who play by the rules, are the ones who ultimatlely get screwed by the rules put in place by a liberal government. Angry

I love my country but I truly dislike my government.

Grin Very True Jason, amazing insight. The Columbine incident for instance and many others, Those boy's broke about 16+/- gun laws.....AND our Government believes two more would make a difference!!!! Simply amazing! One definition of stress= Doing the same thing, over and over, expecting different results!   Sniper 1

GAO: only 22% of guns seized from cartels in Mexico originated in US. Contrary to 90% myth. http://bit.ly/ZTqGo
