Non-Sense Stimulus Package for 2009

Can someone explain to me how Nancy Pelosi and her crew can justify spending 335 million of our tax paying dollars from the 800+ billion stimulus package to prevent STDs (yes sexually transmitted diseases) in efforts to “stimulate” the economy?  Congress has already approved the package and its now on it's way to the senate for approval.  If it makes it through the Senate then the only other person standing in the way would be the president and I highly doubt he will veto the bill set forth by his party.

Will there ever be a day in our government that they will actually pass a bill without any non-sense pork projects tied to it?  Most likely that will never happen.  I shake my head every time I see things like this STD non-sense.

Anyone can contact their state senators to either tell them to vote for / against the stimulus package by going to this website: senate.gov.  On the top right of the home page click the down arrow to find your state's senators.  You can either call them or email them.

  EXACTY Jason! I posted in another forum that many people can name you ten beers...but they can not name the Ten Commandments. Many of the same folks can tell you every stupid fact/stat about every popular pro-ball player and yet can not tell you who their congessmen, representitives or goveror is! It starts with us, Get involved. Email, call or write to them! Tell them respecfully that you are watching their voting record and that you are concerned about your country and it's future for our children and grandchildren. Voice an opinion when an issue arises.
