I am shooting a 338 lapua magnum improved 40 degree and it would be greatly appreciated if someone with a ballistics program could do a little work and save me a great deal of testing to find the results. I know I should have one but just a little old school and still trying to get my head around this whole internet thing, anyways
300 gr sierra mk.....3070 fps
250 gr sierra mk.....3345 fps
speed measured 25 ft from muzzle
0 is 3" high at 100
I will never shoot beyond 1000 yrds

Also
300 RUM
180 gr swift sicorra 2
3410 fps
0 also 3" high at 100

both these rifles shoot very well and I would love to compare the ballistics between them

thanks in advance

I can't help on the 300 RUM because I don't know the BC of the bullet you use.  Here's what I get for the 338.  Sean has a better program than I have so lets see what his comes up with.

Ok this is what I came up with.  As far as the Match Kings mine was very similar to CWO RET USN but I did not know your elevation, temp, humidity ect. that you wanted it for so it will be close but not perfect.

No problem.  If you let me know the atmospheric conditions you well be shooting in I can tune it a bit.  And if you can get a bullet out to the transonic region I can get the software to line up perfectly with your bullet path.  So you will be able to put a could bore shot on any target within the accuracy of your rifle.

that is an offer I can not refuse
todays conditions
shooting straight North
wind out of the North at 12mph and steady
temp 75.5 F
humidity 50%
Bar 102.06 steady
scope centre line 1.750"
bullet Barnes 180 TSX
3470 fps @ 25' avg
0 @ 300 yds
300 yd target is a 1% uphill grade
groups aprox 1.5" to 1.75" at 300 if I am up to it
recoil HUGH
I call this my backup gun cause when I am ready to shoot
everybody starts backin up
I tried to keep the barrel temp as even as possible by spacing out my shots
I also tested the Mrx bullet today with the identical load and noted an average
of 20 fps less and slightly higher pressure signs at the primer which puzzled me.
The impact points out to 300 were identical between TSX and MRX
Rifle is a custom Sako 75 with McMillan stock
26.5" Galliard barrel #4 contour
Swarvoski 3-12 X 50 with single plane Duplex
sako trigger 3 lbs
strictly a huntin rig but it still has to shoot
I took off a MK 4 6.5 - 20 and will put it back on
in october after elk huntin as the MK 4 does not fit in the saddle scabbord
very well.
If there is any other data you require to do an accurate table please let me know
and once again thanks for your assistance.

Sorry it took so long its just been very busy.  Undecided    But I do need one more bit of info to top this off,  your altitude.  Where the numbers start to turn red is when your bullet start to go transonic (decreased accuracy) and when it is totally red your bullet is subsonic.  Also the turret scale is setup for my scope so ignore that.
